| Band Camp is almost over, and it's been a lot of fun. The band concert last night was fantastic, and the faculty brass choir was exceptional tonight. Two more days. Next week I have two Heart Starts, which is great because I get to meet the new music majors!

| The week between band camps is always great! Sort of like the eye of a hurricane. Little by little I am getting things done, but I wish I had more enthusiasm to attack what's left and get it off my mind. I"ll have to work on it...

| Junior II Band Camp! This is fun! Both of the trumpet sections I am working with are full of great kids with great attitudes, and they are good trumpet players!!
Arkansas Brass finished 4 band camp performances in 8 days. I wish we could be busy like that more often. You begin to relax on stage and feel like you can concentrate on the music instead of just trying to get through it. Speaking of which, the wedding we play Saturday is more like a concert than a wedding. We have almost as much music to play as we've been doing for our recent concerts!
After this there is a week off before Senior Camp. Then it's another Arkansas Brass concert and the faculty brass choir. That's a long week, but it will be fun, too!

| I had forgotten how fun Band Camp is!! ESPECIALLY, when you're not in charge!!!
Arkansas Brass played last night for Junior I band camp, tonight we play for SAU's band camp, and Monday we play for UA-M's camp. Next Wednesday we're back at HSU for Junior II, and Saturday we're in Paris, TX, for a wedding. This should be fun!

| I like summer! Band camp starts next week, and Arkansas Brass plays for Henderson's and SAU-Magnolia's camps. The following week we play for UA-Monticello's and Henderson's camps and for our tuba player's daughter's wedding.
Time to go practice!
